The Academic Excellence Fund

Target: $10 million to attract and retain world-class academics

The problems that Massey seeks to solve are not small. Building a better world will take the best and boldest academic minds. Massey aspires to be the place where academics want to come to learn, collaborate with others, and undertake research, particularly in the areas of food, agriculture, horticulture, animal health and welfare, design, the environment, and health. Attracting and retaining the world’s best is expensive, the New Zealand’s dollar is comparatively weak, and the market is highly competitive. Massey is seeking donor funding so it can recruit more of the world’s  best academics to strengthen our research and teaching base and to ensure that we remain world-leading. The university has developed a fund to support academic chairs and salaries in these key areas. Help us to help New Zealand prosper and be better by supporting the Academic Excellence Fund.
