The Achiever Fund
Target: $10 million to attract and retain New Zealand’s best students
New Zealand has a critical shortage of graduates in the areas of food, agriculture, horticulture, veterinary medicine and the environment.
We need to attract more young people/rangatahi to study in these areas to ensure that there are sufficient graduates to take up key management, research and development roles in the decades ahead.
However, Massey is competing with other universities, polytechnics, and independent education providers to attract and retain the best and brightest students. Study is expensive and too often talented students, who could have brilliant careers in these industries, are not undertaking tertiary study due to the cost.
The university is seeking $10 million in endowed funds to support the food and fibre, environment, health and design sectors. Please support students by giving to the Achiever Fund and make New Zealand better.
