Direct from Salary Giving

Direct from Salary Giving is about Massey University staff doing something good by supporting initiatives they care about at Massey.

100% of staff donations go to the Massey University Foundation which is a separate trust and a registered charity that fosters philanthropy and administrates gifts to the University.

Staff giving can help transform a student’s life through scholarship, make possible a special project at Massey, or lead to that important scientific breakthrough. A small gift each fortnight out of your salary can do something good and have a big impact at Massey.

How it works

The Foundation's Do Something Good programme, also known as Direct from Salary Giving, enables you to donate directly from your fortnightly pay.

Tax rebate
You will receive an immediate tax relief of 33.3% on donations of $5 or more. This means a donation of $10 will cost you $6.67 and you do not need to wait to claim a rebate at the end of the tax year.

Match-funding
Massey University also generously match-funds all donations made, meaning every donation you make from your salary is doubled before it reaches us here at the Foundation.

Choose your fund
You can choose which fund to donate to, depending on your interests. Whether it’s our endangered native wildlife, heritage buildings or student scholarships, there are over 25 funds to choose from and you can rest assured knowing 100% of your donation will reach the fund of your choice.
